Our Standard size Australian Shepherds are approximately 45lbs to 65lbs, ranging from 18″ to 22″ tall at the shoulder. They make great companions or sports dogs. The Aussies are known for their intelligence and eagerness to please, which makes them a very trainable breed. Our Aussies have a calm yet pleasing personality, making them a dream to work with. However, they are prey-driven breeds and require proper mental stimulation to be good dogs. Our Aussies have a shutoff button when properly stimulated and exercised. They enjoy being around you and doing whatever you are doing. We call them our Velcro dogs.
